This cute couple recently celebrated their first anniversary, and I wanted to share their beautiful wedding day with you!  I want to start off by saying this about them first - these two are the epitome of kindness, grace & compassion.  If you've read the about me section, or followed along with me on Instagram or will know that I am the mama to two babies in Heaven. My little guy, Layton, was in the NICU on Kyle & Shiney's day.  I had delivered him via c-section just a few weeks prior.  He was stable enough that I felt comfortable leaving him for the weekend with his daddy, so I could shoot this wedding.  The normalcy of shooting this wedding during a time of so many unknowns was needed, and I am so grateful that I was able to do it.

Kyle & Shiney treated me like family that day.  They, along with their closest family and friends carried my equipment everywhere I needed, because I wasn't cleared to lift anything over 10 pounds.  We scheduled breaks every 3 hours so that I could do what I needed for Layton.  Everyone was constantly checking on me, making sure I was drinking water and sitting down for breaks...I could go on & on.  I never felt like a vendor...I felt like part of the family.

Their wedding was seriously such a GREAT time!  They have a love of motorcycles, and it was really cool to see how they incorporated that into the day.  That is one thing that I LOVE about weddings.  When couples share something that is important to them, and I get to capture it for them.  It really is an honor and privilege.  The beautiful shades of purple went perfectly with the gold, and I loved that the reception decorations were sustainable (ie: could be reused, resold or given as gifts).  And that leaves me with Shiney's dress.  The color was so unique and beautiful, the style was perfect for her and made her look like a modern day Cinderella.  She looked exquisite.

But the greatest thing about the wedding was all the love and all the fun.  Shiney has a smile that is as bright as the's impossible to not smile back when she does.  They surrounded themselves with family & friends who love them fiercely and honored their day.  And after a day filled with getting ready, a motorcycle ride into the resort, LOTS of photographs, a lovely ceremony & dinner...they celebrated by having a HUGE party at the reception!  And that is the way that it should be!  Here is a look at their wedding day one year ago-

Kyle & Shiney - I hope that your first year together was as fun & full of love as your wedding day was.  Thank you so much for being understanding of my situation, and treating me like family on that day.  You both are the epitome of the quote from Cinderella "Have courage and be kind".  It is a kindness that I will never forget, and I will always look back at your wedding with fondness.  I wish for utter happiness and so many blessings upon your continued future together.  Thank you for letting me be a small part of your day one year ago.
